Treehouse Festival is an experimental festival series run by Defused Mood in Hanoi, Vietnam. The festival aims to bring the most talented artists and musicians of Hanoi into the public eye and has won the hearts of thousands of Hanoi residents.

After I did some work for the previous event, I was called in as a full-time graphic designer for their third entry: Acid Bloom. After sitting down with the event organizers and throwing around ideas, we agreed that we wanted something that was somewhat vibrant and primal, like something ancient and mythical was descending upon the city. Snakes and blooming plants were images that came up a lot and heavily inspired the direction of the graphic art and the line-up video.

I decided to keep to a red, blue and yellow color scheme in the graphic art.. vibrant enough to catch your attention but not flooded with colors like the video. The video was designed a little differently, aiming to bring a psychedelic vibe to the surprise presentation of all the acts to hype up the public and generate sales for tickets soon after. The event was a big success and garnered thousands of attendees and lots of love and support from the Hanoi expat community.
